I was born and raised in Iraq, where I finished my undergraduate studies. I majored in Chemistry because I wanted to create innovative materials. After graduating from Basra University with a Bachelor of Science degree, I traveled to Dubai and worked as a graphic designer for Al-Mandoos Media, Est. for two years. I then returned home, hoping to contribute to the rebuilding of Iraq after the war. During that time I volunteered for a charity association that cared for children who lost one or both parents during the war.

    in 2009, I traveled to Lebanon to begin my process of moving to the United States, While in Lebanon, I worked as a fashion designer in an haute couture atelier where I discovered my love for the world of design.

    I moved to the United States in 2010 and began my fashion design business, supporting myself by working full-time in Hospitality. I then worked as an accountant in order to prepare for a graduate degree in design. I became a US citizen in 2015. I have chosen to study User Experience Design at Massachusetts College of Design because it combines my love of design and passion for helping people.
